TAUNTON School has appointed a new chief operating officer (COO).
Sandra Reynolds, who has had a career in education spanning more than 20 years, takes up the post in May.
She is currently COO and chief financial officer for a large multi academy trust in Wiltshire.
Ms Reynolds said: “It is a privilege to be joining Taunton School.
"I am absolutely delighted to be taking up this role at an incredibly exciting time for the school as it continues to develop its facilities and educational offer so that current and future generations of
students have access to the best opportunities.
“I am thrilled to be part of that journey, working alongside a fantastic team of colleagues.”
Originally trained as an accountant, she will be moving to Somerset with her husband and two daughters.
“What really fascinates me about Taunton School is the strong community of governors and staff who are philanthropic, diverse and aspirational,” added Ms Reynolds.
"They will not settle for anything but the best for young people and each other.”
As the new COO, she will lead the operational side of the school.
She takes over from Nikki Miller, who held the position for seven years and was a finalist in the TES awards last year for ‘Best School Business Leader’.
Headmaster James Johnson said: “I am delighted that Sandra will be joining us next term.
"I have no doubt that her extensive experience, managing the finances and operations of multi academy trusts in the maintained sector, will be of great value to Taunton School as we complete our ambitious campus development plan and ensure that the school continues to thrive.”
