DRIVING without insurance has landed a motorist from Bishops Lydeard with a £1,008 court bill.
Ryan Sam Hembrow, 31, of Wheatstones, committed the offence near Creech Castle, on Bridgwater Road, Bathpool, on May 1 last year.
After magistrate deemed him guilty, he was hit with an £835 fine and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £83 and costs of £90
Hembrow was also banned from driving for six months after receiving six penalty points. Magistrates said a disqualification was "obligatory due to repeat offending".
They also ruled that he must pay the court bill by May 3 this year.
