A TAUNTON woman who failed to inform police who was driving a speeding vehicle has received six penalty points on her licence.
Jo Marie Wilkins, 34, of Greenway Avenue, denied the charge when her case was heard at Taunton Magistrates' Court yesterday (Wednesday, April 12).
But magistrates found her guilty of not giving information relating to the identification of a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
Wilkins was fined £300 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge.
She also denied a second charge of speeding at 46mph on a 30mph stretch of the A378 near the junction with Green Lane, Fivehead, on June 12. 2021.
No evidence was offered in the case, which was dismissed.
Wilkins was told she must pay the £334 court bill at a rate of £20 a month starting from May.
