TRACTORS and Cream, a local glamping site, have pledged not to put their prices up during the Easter holidays.

The site, located in Othery, is owned by Vicki and Bryan Jones, who work tirelessly to ensure that their guests enjoy a fun-filled family getaway.

Vicki, a former dance teacher, told the County Gazette: "We run this family-friendly glamping site, we've got two children of our own and we used to go on holiday before pre-school in term time.

"When they started going to school, we realised that the prices went up massively during the school holidays. We just felt like it wasn't right.

"For example, we went the week before the Easter holidays and it cost £500, and then the following week it was £1,800. I just couldn't understand it.

"When we started the glamping site, we decided that we weren't going to put prices up during the holidays, we were just going to keep the same price."

Tractors and Cream boasts six large geodesic domes, which are furnished with double or king size beds.

The domes also have any creature comforts that you may need, including comfy sofas, a chest of drawers, bunk beds for children and a fully equipped kitchen pod.

Each dome also has its own log burner, and some have en-suite outdoor baths. Every individual dome has its own flushing toilet next to it and private shower room.

The site is very family friendly with two play areas and an indoor games room.

When speaking about their inspiration for the site, Vicki said: "We brought a house with a six acre field attached to it, I was a dance teacher and I was thinking that maybe I could use one of the outbuildings as a dance studio.

"But we thought that we really need to use the field for something, my husband and I met working in a hotel so we had this idea that we would make our own hotel.

"We started researching it and came upon yurt glamping, we went and stayed in a yurt but we didn't really like it, it didn't make for a nice easy family holiday.

"We decided we would try to make the most easy family holiday you could get."
