A SEVEN-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital following a crash at a motocross track.
Emergency services attended the incident at Grandfields Westonzoyland Motorcross Track, on Langport Road, Middlezoy, at around 12.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday (May 1).
It is not believed the boy's injuries are life-threatening.
Firefighters from Bridgwater Fire Station were called to free the boy following the collision.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "A seven-year-old boy was badly injured after the crash after he was thrown from his motorbike and collided with concrete rubble.
"Two fire appliances from Bridgwater attended the scene and worked alongside paramedics to extricate him into the hands of air ambulance paramedics, whereby he was immediately airlifted to hospital.
"Once the scene was made safe, duty of care was left with staff."
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "We did attend and supported emergency service partners who were dealing with the incident.
"The child sustained an injury that was not believed to be life-threatening."
