TAUNTON Deane Bowling Club is holding an Open Day on Sunday 28 May from 10.30 am until 4 pm.
There is no need to book, just drop in and have a go at playing bowls guided by Club Coaches on the indoor rinks and outdoor greens.
Club members will be on hand to answer questions and give information about the Club and bowling, and show people around our Club’s facilities.
A spokesperson said: "The Club will supply all the equipment you need, you just need to arrive with flat footwear and comfortable clothing!
"The Club is situated on Blackbrook Way, Taunton TA1 2RW, next to the Blackbrook Leisure Centre. Refreshments will be available and there is a large free car park."
Taunton Deane Bowling Club provides a variety of opportunities to play bowls, which range from a social rollup with friends to taking part in club leagues and competitions, both during the day and evening.
The Open day is part of the Bowls Big Weekend promoted by Bowls England which gives people across the country the opportunity to play the sport for free in a relaxed, informal setting.
"Whether you have never played bowls before or you are coming back to the sport this is the perfect way to try bowls at Taunton Deane Bowling Club," the club added.
