ONE person has been taken to hospital after a crash on the A38 in the Chelston Wellington area this morning (Wednesday, May 24).
The two-car collision happened at around 7am and caused substantial traffic this morning. One eye-witness said: "There was really heavy traffic."
A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police said: "Police were called just after 7am on Wednesday May 24 to a report of a collision on the A38 between Chelston roundabout and the filling station, Wellington.
"Two cars were involved in the collision which blocked the road until about 7.50am.
"It's not currently believed anyone suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries. If you have any information about what happened please call 101 and give the log number 138 of May 24."
A representative from the South Western Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) added: “We were called at 07.13hrs to an incident in the Chelston Wellington area. We sent two double-crew land ambulances, and one individual was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital.”
