POLICE are working closely with the council to clean up "offensive" graffiti in Taunton.
A recent bout of vandalism has seen canal footpaths, businesses and even the Taunton Magistrates' Court targeted.
Much of the graffiti contains offensive language aimed towards the police, probation and even an individual.
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from the Taunton Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "We're working with the council to ensure it gets cleaned up as it includes offensive words and symbols.
"Officers do have some positive lines of enquiry but if you saw the person responsible or have any dashcam, CCTV or other footage which could help us identify them please call 101 and give the reference 5223141514."
If you think that you could help in the enquiry, you are urged to get in touch with the police as soon as possible.
