A BT phone line issue has meant that Avon and Somerset Police are currently unable to accept emergency phones calls.
A nationwide issue with the BT phone lines means calls can currently not be answered for Avon and Somerset Police, Avon and Somserset Fire and Rescue and Devon and Somserset Fire and Rescue Service.
This is an issue affecting all the emergency services in the UK this morning, (June 25). Several police forces and fire and ambulance services said they were facing issues and said BT had reported a “system failure”.
The police are urging people to call 101 in an emergency, eg risk to life, crime in progress.
For other incidents, they are asking that you report the incident online at https://orlo.uk/Rppjt
