POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a child was injured in a hit and run incident near Bridgwater.
Officers were called to Merino Way, in North Petherton, following a collision between a car and a six-year-old boy.
The incident took place at around 4.30pm on Monday, June 26.
The dark coloured saloon car left the scene before police arrived.
The victim sustained minor injuries, but did not require hospital treatment.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "If you were in the area and have any information, or have any relevant footage, please contact us.
