BOOTS has confirmed it will close one of its stores in Somerset within three months.
The High Street store and pharmacy, which is among the 300 outlets the company plans to close across the UK, will cease trading on October 13.
Boots says all members of staff will be offered alternative jobs.
The US-owned company announced last month that it is chopping its portfolio from around 2,200 stores to 1,900 over the next year.
A number of stores have already closed down, while several more will be axed over the coming months.
Stores confirmed for closure include in Woking, UEA campus, Westcliff-on-Sea, Woking and two in Wakefield.
A spokesperson for Boots said: "We can confirm that the stores listed are part of the Boots store consolidation programme previously announced. All team members from these stores will be offered alternative roles.”
Boots bosses say in most closure cases there will be an alternative store less than three miles away after the round of closures is finished.
