TAUNTON Flower Show has been running since 1831, since when countless people have enjoyed the annual event.

We don't have any picture of the earliest events, but we thought you might like to see images of some of the more recent shows.

Last year's event was held in Vivary Park after a hiatus of a couple of years caused by a cancellation in 2020 and a change of venue to Castle Green in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

Thousands of people flock to the annual Taunton Flower Show and every time they are guaranteed a great day out, excellent entertainment and superb quality of exhibits and competition entries.

Our picture spread looks back to the show that never was in 1997, when the event was cancelled at the last minute after Vivary Park was flooded following a torrential downpour.

We also check out the shows from 2014, 2019 - the last time it was held in Vivary Park before the pandemic - and 2021 at its temporary home in Castle Green.
