THERE are going to be two days of fun activities and free entertainment at Watchet Carnival next weekend (Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30).

It kicks off with Carnival Day Saturday running from 2pm to 8pm with an open theme.

 

Organisers are promising a day/evening of superb entertainment, including music, singing, dancing and children’s activities on The Esplanade, on Swain Street and Market Street and other venues in the town.

A spokesperson for the organisers said: "We hope shops, cafes, businesses, pubs and clubs can transform their facilities with their own chosen themes and colourful creativeness.

"Everyone is welcome to wear fancy dress."

Then on Sunday, from midday to 5pm, there's Carnival Fayre Family Fun Day on Watchet Memorial Ground, with quality entertainment, children’s amusements and a wide variety of stalls.
