THE school council at Cheddon Fitzpaine Church School has been fundraising throughout the year.

Fun for all activities such as bingo nights, bake off and talent show competitions, bring your bike to school day and a non-uniform day have been held to raise funds.

The money will go towards new playground equipment and but also for St Margaret’s Hospice, the pupils' chosen local charity.

Most recently the school held its summer fete, which was enjoyed by all pupils, teachers and parents.

The event took place thanks to working with the Friends of Cheddon School Association.

The school council raised more than £300 for the new equipment to be enjoyed by the children at playtime, as well as £500 donation for St Margaret’s Hospice.
