TAUNTON Mayor Cllr Nick O’Donnell joined the Little Adventures Nursery team on Friday (July 18) to officially open the new extension.

The expansion, which has doubled the overall size of the nursery off Bindon Road, comes in response to the increasing demand for childcare places in the area.

It promises to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn, play and grow.

The extension, made possible by a grant from Somerset Council’s Growth Accelerator Fund, showcases the commitment of the local government to support families and ensure access to quality early childhood education and care.

The grant has enabled Little Adventures Nursery to create additional spaces and enhance its facilities, accommodating more children and providing a welcoming space for learning and exploration.

During the opening event, Cllr O’Donnell, expressed his delight at witnessing the growth of Little Adventures Nursery and how it has become a vital hub for the community.

Little Adventures Nurseries, which has seven settings, was named as a Top 20 UK nursery group recently based on parent feedback on popular nursery review site daynurseries.co.uk

Little Adventures Nursery Taunton is one of the largest nurseries in the South West as it is situated on site at the multi-award-winning Space Adventurers Indoor Play Centre.

During the opening the Mayor took a turn on the Astro slide along with nursery owner Tom Filer and nursery manager Samantha Hall.

The extension at Little Adventures Nursery, which opened last April, features state-of-the-art facilities, including a well-equipped classroom and a variety of engaging learning resources.
