A PHOTOGRAPHER has captured two mystical dawn pictures today at Glastonbury Tor.

Michelle Cowbourne not only snapped a misty phenomenon known as a Brocken spectre, but also caught an eye-catching sunbeam piercing through the monument.

Named after a German mountain where it was first noted, a Brocken spectre is a large shadow of an observer cast onto cloud or mist.

In this case, the Tor was the shape defined.

Michelle said: "Incredible morning on Glastonbury Tor.

"I have still got to go through my photos but I already know this Brocken Spectre one came out better on my phone so here it is."

Regarding her other sunrise photo, she said: "The beam of light beckoning us forward into the portal?"
