A CHARITY concert will be held in Taunton next month to raise money for Diabetes UK.
The concert will be held at 4pm on September 3 at the Temple Methodist Church.
The Blackdown Hills steel band and two choirs, Voce and Let's Sing, will be performing, one of which will be singing compositions written by Sue Briggs, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 15 years ago.
Sue, a Diabetes UK volunteer, now supports others with the condition.
Writing on the event's Facebook page, Sue said: "I know that for me this has transformed my life since my diagnosis 15 years ago.
"Many of us will know someone who is or has lived with some form of diabetes.
"This is why I was so keen to organise this special event."
Tickets can be purchased on TicketSource.
All funds raised will be donated to the charity, which has funded research over many years, leading to the development of vast improvements and a deeper understanding in how to manage diabetes.
