STUDENTS at Kingsmead School, in Wiveliscombe, are celebrating today (Thursday, August 24) after an impressive set of GCSE results across all levels.
Students secured exceptionally high grades.
Overall, the number of grade 9 results has never been as high, as a result of the hard work of the students and teaching staff.
There are success stories right across the year group and the school is very proud of their achievements.
Headteacher John Eddy said: “The year group has been significantly impacted by Covid since Year 8, with lots of face to face teaching time lost because of the lockdowns, the subsequent high absence rates and the mental health concerns that many students experienced.
“That they have applied themselves so well to their studies is a great credit to them.
"They have been supported throughout by dedicated staff who have done all they could to guide them through their studies.
"We wish all our students every success as they move on to the next phase of their education.”
