A BAKERY in Somerset has been highlighted as one of the best in the UK by The Times.

Rye Bakery, based in Frome, made The Times list of the UK's top 49 bakeries to visit

Each bakery featuring on the list was chosen by local chefs and bakers.

Rye Bakery was selected by Max Halley, who owns Max's Sandwich Shop, based in Wiltshire.

"I love this place," said Max.

"Everything from bread to croissants and financiers is executed with a deft touch and always a sense of trying for deliciousness, not trying to look clever."

Foodies can get their hands on some treats from Rye Bakery by heading to Unit 1 on Station Approach, right next to Frome train station.
