A MOTORIST who lives hundreds of miles away has been banned for speeding in Thurloxton.
Keith Anthony Seaton, 44, from Stockport Road, Cheadle Heath, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at North Somerset Magistrates' Court.
His offence was reaching 72mph on a 50mph stretch of the A38 between Taunton and North Petherton on October 13 last year.
Seaton was fined £538, ordered to pay a £215 victim surcharge and made to contribute £90 towards the prosecution costs.
He was then given a six-month disqualification from holding or obtaining a driving licence after collecting six penalty points, which took him over the totting up limit for a ban.
He must settle his total court bill of £843 at a rate of £100 a month starting on September 11.
