OWNERS and their dogs are being advised to sign up as soon as possible for a fun run across beautiful countryside.

Entries for the Dulverton Trail Fun Run and Canicross are coming in thick and fast - and numbers are limited.

The event on the morning of Sunday, September 17, is attracting runners of all age and abilities.

The race starts and finishes on Dulverton's Exmoor Lawns alongside the River Barle in front of Exmoor House, with a choice of either 5km or 10km routes across beautiful Exmoor countryside - including the challenging woodland track known as the Dulverton Demon.

Ali Pegrum, from Visit Dulverton, said: "Dulverton is known to be a particularly dog-friendly town and there is the opportunity to run either the 5km or 10km routes as a traditional canicross race – with all the fun of letting your dog(s) help you along the paths and up and down the hills.

"Numbers are strictly limited, so runners are advised to book their places well in advance to avoid disappointment."
