TAUNTON'S Dough Bros store will be closed over the next couple weeks for a shopfront refit.

The donut shop is located on 67 Station Road, and sells tasty treats and hot drinks.

The team will also use the closure as an opportunity to get their online pre-ordering up and running after it crashed.

Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson from the company said: "Lots been going on at Dough Bros. HQ so thought we should update!

"SHOP REFURB - Shop is closed for the next couple of weeks whilst we get some important things done - including online pre-ordering and shopfront refit.

"We apologise in advance for the inconvenience here but there are some changes we need to make ready for the autumn/winter season.

"We are able to accept pre-orders during this time if you message us the day before and can collect before 10.30am.

"DOUGH-MOBIL UPDATE - Been a bit quiet on this one as unfortunately I crashed it!

"We found out last week this has been written off, but we have now sourced a new one and hope to have it on the road within the next couple of weeks!"

Fitting out their new production unit in Bishops Lydeard is also a priority.

The spokesperson added: "NEW PRODUCTION UNIT - So we got the keys to our new production unit in Bishops Lydeard last month and have been busy fitting it out, making sure it is food safe and ordering some new equipment that should help us massively going forward.

"We are starting to reach out over the next month or so to potential wholesale customers - let us know if you are interested in selling our doughnuts.

"MARKETS & EVENTS - During the time whilst our shop is closed for the refurb we will still be attending markets and events in and around the area - so if you need a doughnut fix you will still be able to find us somewhere (albeit may be further away than you would usually have to travel for the next couple of weeks)

"I'm sure the next two and half weeks are going to fly by (as much of this year has already!) - we will be super busy getting everything ready and aiming to open the shop again at the end of September."
