Taunton Town welcomed Georgia Beard from the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance to their National League South game with Havant & Waterlooville at The Cygnet Health Care Stadium last Saturday.

The charity was first out of the hat in their annual Stand Draw, which took place during pre-season, and are proudly displayed on the South stand for the whole season.

The Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, with the support of main shirt sponsor and local chartered accountants Albert Goodman were represented by Director of Marketing Robin Clempson.

The Peacocks were held to a 0-0 draw with the Hawks.

And Chairman Kevin Sturmey told the club's website:” We are delighted to see this fantastic charity adorn the south stand. Our annual Stand Draw attracts many businesses all hoping to win and the last entrant into the draw thanks to our Main Shirt Sponsor Albert Goodman got pulled out first.

"Albert Godman Accountants choose a charity each year to support, and their chosen charity is a very worthy winner. We look forward to working with Georgia and her team and help grow their profile and raise money and awareness with them.”

Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, since March 2000, have been there for critically ill and injured people when they need them the most.

Their team of highly skilled pilots, critical care practitioners, nurses, and doctors are operational for 19 hours a day between 7.00am and 2.00am 365 days a year as they work together tirelessly to save lives.

The service they provide is 95 per cent is funded by charitable giving and last year were tasked to attend 2,424 incidents, with each mission costing approximately £3,500.
