A CHARITY shop in Taunton town centre could soon have a new landlord as the building it occupies has gone up for sale.
Cancer Research UK, on North Street, has a lease until 2027 and a spokesperson said the landlord is selling the freehold.
Rightmove shows the building is now on sale for £495,000.
The website also says “the property comprises a rectangular shaped shop on the ground floor with rear storage and kitchen.
“A staircase accesses first-floor ancillary accommodation currently used by the tenant, whilst the property includes further accommodation on the second floor, demised to the tenant, there is no value attributable to this area.
“A purchaser may be able to improve the upper parts in the future.”
A spokesperson for Cancer Research UK said: “Cancer Research UK have a lease in place until 2027 at the Taunton store and so the landlord is selling the freehold, but this won’t impact CRUK’s occupation.”
