A 'DEMO and Dine' event showing how to prepare a vegan version of a roast dinner with trimmings takes place in Taunton leading up to Christmas.
Guests will see to create a layered festive roast with squash, spinach and beetroot accompanied by roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, roasted carrots and parsnips, chestnut and maple cabbage, broccoli and gravy.
The event at Taunton Catholic Centre, in The Mount, is hosted by vegan charity Viva! and will be conducted by chef Anna Madams, of Somerset-based catering company Vegan To You.
After the cookery demonstration, attendees will be served a layered festive roasts with all the trimmings.
Anna said: “The layered festive roast not only looks really impressive, but it’s also super easy once you know how, and all the ingredients are readily available in supermarkets.”
Admission to the lunchtime event on Sunday, December 2, including lunch, is £12. Tickets can be purchased from Eventbrite.
