A WEEKEND dedicated to homebuilding, home improvement, and renovating, is coming to Somerset next month.

The South West Homebuilding & Renovating Show will be held at the Bath and West Showground near Shepton Mallet from November 18-19 2023.

Tickets cost £8 and can be purchased on the Somerset Homebuilding Show website.

Specialists will be on site to showcase their expertise and give answer all questions a modern homeowner may have.

The show promises attendants tthat the Bath and West Showground will host over 140 exhibitors with stalls showcasing thousands of products and services, as well as easily accessible information to to help homeowners improve, renovate and build their dream homes.

Just some of the exhibitors in attendance are experts in fields such as architecture, building materials, lighting, doors and windows, gardens, and more.

Experts at the event will demonstrate their vast knowledge in the Masterclass and Seminar Theatres, presenting on topics ranging from a beginner’s guide to building your own home to getting planning permission, as well as the early steps of designing a sustainable home.

The rising cost of energy associated with the cost of living crisis will be at the forefront of topics discussed, and visitors to the Ask the Expert Zone will be able to speak with specialists about their individual concerns.

Eco expert David Hilton will be on hand to explain how heat pumps actually work, and educate homeowners on how they can make the most of the energy in their homes, whilst also saving money on bills and reducing their carbon footprint.

The on-site Advice Centre will provide opportunities to book free one-on-one sessions with other property experts, designers, planners and builders including Homebuilding & Renovating Magazine’s specialists Michael Holmes, Allan Corfield, and Sally Tagg as well as quantity surveyor Tim Phillips, and finance expert Tim McSherry.
