A WELLINGTON-based PCSO has been given a good send off by colleagues to mark her retirement after 15 years.

Officers past and present from Wellington Police Station gathered together for a farewell to PCSO Louise Fyne on her last working day last Wednesday (October 4).

A spokesperson for Wellington Neighbourhood Policing said: "Lou has worked predominantly on the rural beats of Wiveliscombe and Milverton.

"The influx of presents and messages of thanks are testament to how much she will be missed by the communities she served.

"Lou has a passion for youth engagement and was pivotal in securing funding for multiple projects over the years which benefited young people across the wider Wellington area.

"She was also at the forefront of our mini police initiative delivering sessions to numerous primary schoolchildren.

"Lou should be rightly proud of her achievements and we wish her all the best of luck in her next venture."
