CHRISTMAS is already on the way as Clarks Village shopping outlet gets set to launch its ice rink and festive market.

Ticket sales are open for the ice skating rink, with an early bird discount of 20 per cent for people booking a slot by November 5.

Work has already begun on constructing the 550-metre square undercover rink that will be open for eight weeks over the festive season, including Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Opening on Thursday, November 9, until Sunday, January 7, the ice rink will be located on the lawn of the neighbouring Alfred Gillet Trust, in Street, overlooking Clarks Village’s restaurant terrace.

Sessions are pre-bookable and include skate hire for sessions including disco skating, quiet sessions, parent and toddler sessions and exclusive hire for private parties. It is also wheelchair accessible.

Clarks Village’s Festive Market also makes a comeback, with a host of independent food and retail stalls.

To celebrate the launch of the ice rink, the market will also open on Thursday, November 9, for the weekend before returning on Friday, November 24 and running until Christmas Eve.

Stalls will be spread throughout Clarks Village, selling an array of crafts, gifts and festive treats alongside the outlet’s mix of 90 brands offering up to 60 per cent off recommended retail prices.

“As Christmas approaches, we’re going all out to transform the outlet into a winter shopping wonderland and offer a very special experience for our guests whether they’re looking for the perfect Christmas gift or simply visiting for a fun and festive day out.”

Tickets for ice-skating sessions are from £11.50 for children under 12, £13.50 for adults and from £42 for a family.

Skate hire is included in the ticket price and skating aids are available to hire for £5 each.
