A BRIDAL boutique which recently moved from Taunton to Ilminster has been shortlisted for a national award.

14 & Sixpence, established in 2014, has been selected as a finalists for the South West in ‘The Wedding Industry Awards’.

Back in June, the business relocated from a Grade II listed building in Taunton to a barn just outside of Ilminster.

Set in the very pretty Ashwell Business Park, the bridal and prom boutique offers a fabulous selection of designer dresses, all exclusive to them in this area.

Owner Cathy Keen said: “I’m so pleased and honoured to be recognised in these awards.

“It means so much that the brides have taken time out of their busy lives to cast a vote as well as a panel of judges and industry experts.

“To be recognised as one of the bridal boutiques in the area that brides love to visit is really special.

“To be honest, being announced a finalist in the region is amazing, and I’m proud of just that, any more would be overwhelming.

“Since we relocated earlier in the year it’s been a little bonkers, but all the hard work has paid off and I’m just so thankful for everyone that has helped me on this journey, to every one of our beautiful brides - past, present, and future.”

The finals are in Bristol on November 20 and winners in each of the eight regions will then go through to the national finals in January.
