AVON and Somerset Police's Roads Policing Unit were out in full force across Somerset this Monday morning.
On October 16, OpTempo checks conducted by the police caught a vehicle travelling at dangerously high speeds on the M5 near Bridgwater.
The driver of the BMW 5 Series travelling at 107mph was among 112 speeding drivers caught across two locations, who will all receive a Notice of Intended Prosecution.
Andy Nicholls, Paramedic for the Road Safety Team at Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, said: "At this speed, it's absolute madness.
"Impossible to stop within a safe distance and serious injury to both driver, passengers, and other road users if they have a collision!"
The Roads Policing Unit also detected an Aston Martin Vantage travelling at 93mph on a stretch of the A303 on Monday, October 16.
A total of 30 offences were detected on the busy stretch of Somerset road, with the Aston Martin travelling at the highest speed of all.
