CLARKS Village has unveiled plans to transform one of its outdoor shopping malls.

The Apple Court mall within the Somerset shopping outlet will be revamped with new landscaping, street furniture, and atmospheric lighting.

There will also be new planters plant pots and welcome signage.

The refurbishment has started with the majority of work being undertaken after hours.

Stores will remain open for the duration with the completed Apple Court transformation set to be unveiled by December 2023.

The revamp is part of Clarks Village’s ongoing investment in the shopping outlet to continually enhance the guest experience.

Over the last three years, Clarks Village has invested £3m into improving guest experience and refurbishing guest facilities.

This includes new landscaping, a terrace, and pathways within its Central Square Gardens in addition to new branding, signage, and wayfinding.

The outlet also saw a major refurbishment to its toilet facilities, new storefronts, roofing upgrades, and back-of-house areas as well as an increased resource for staff training and upskilling.

Located in Street, less than 25 minutes from the M5 and A303, Clarks Village has a stellar line-up of more than 90 stores from designer brands to high-street favourites offering discounts of up to 60 per cent off RRP.

Guests can also enjoy a host of restaurants, cafes, and grab-and-go outlets as well as a large adventure play park for families.

And from Thursday, November 9, the Clarks Village festive ice rink will return for its second year – open all the way through until Sunday, January 7 – offering the ultimate Christmas shopping experience.

Chris Davis, centre director of Clarks Village, commented: “We’re really excited about our plans to transform Apple Court.

“Once finished, there will be a completely new feel to the area, making it an inviting place to shop and spend time in.

“This is yet another significant investment we’re making in the outlet for our guests with further exciting announcements on the horizon.

“Whether it’s new stores and refurbishments, our festive ice rink, or regular events, there is always a reason to visit Clarks Village.”
