A MAN is in a critical condition following a collision in Frome yesterday (Thursday, October 19).
The collision, which involved a black VW Golf and a black DAF skip lorry, happened just before 9am on Rodden Road.
The car collided with the stationary lorry whilst it was delivering a skip onto a driveway.
The driver of the Golf, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital, where he still remains. His family have been informed.
The driver of the lorry, a man in his 50s, was released from hospital after treatment.
Two double-crewed land ambulances, an operations officer and an air ambulance were sent to the scene.
The road remained closed until 8pm whilst investigators examined the scene.
Police are calling for witnesses or anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
