A ROAD near Ilminster has been closed due to “serious carriageway flooding”.
The A358 in Donyatt was closed this morning (Wednesday, October 25).
Travel Somerset said: “The A358 in Donyatt is closed due to serious carriageway flooding. Please avoid the area and seek an alternative route. Emergency services on site.”
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "We were called around 5.45am today (Wednesday, October 25) following a report of a car stuck in water on the A358 Donyatt Hill.
"The car had made it out of the water by the time officers arrived and the road was closed."

The council's traffic authority also said there are temporary traffic lights at Combe Florey due to water on the road, and is urging motorists to drive carefully.
The Chard and Ilminster News has contacted the emergency services for comment.
