TAUNTON Mayor Cllr Nick O'Donnell popped round to officially open a new dental clinic in the centre of Taunton on Saturday (October 21).

The occasion was well attended by people from across the community and Taunton Deane MP Rebecca Pow sent a message of congratulations.

Several people have already signed up as patients at Taunton Dental and Implant Centre, at The Lodge, in Church Square.

The practice is run by husband and wife team Akanksha Gupta and Justin Parakala.

They will offer check ups and general dental treatments at affordable prices, including payment plans.

And they will also provide cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening and straightening and removable, clear aligners that will brighten up your smile.

They will also be offering advanced treatments like implants.

Following the opening event, Akanksha said: "Taunton Dental and Implant Centre welcomes the community of Taunton and neighbouring areas to come and visit us and explore the services available.

"We provide general dentistry but also advanced procedures like sedation for anxious people, surgical extractions of wisdom teeth and more complex work like implants, teeth straightening and smile design,all in a purpose-designed, well laid out modern premises in the heart of town."
