FIRE services, the police, and ambulance crews all attended the scene of a road traffic collision near Taunton earlier this morning.
Emergency services responded to the incident on Lipe Lane in Ruishton at 4:40am.
A person was rescued from an overturned vehicle at the scene, before being handed over to the ambulance crews.
A spokesperson for Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service said: "Fire control received calls from Police and Ambulance requesting our assistance to a Road Traffic Collision on Lipe Lane in Ruishton.
"Control mobilised two fire appliances and a supporting officer from Taunton.
"Once on scene, crews confirmed one person still within the vehicle that was positioned on its side.
"Crews immediately got to work stabilising vehicle to allow for casualty assessment.
"05:24 - Crews confirmed one person was extricated from the vehicle and left in the hands of ambulance.
"Crews used stabilisation equipment, small tools and E-draulic cutting equipment."
