HUNDREDS of people paused to remember our bravest of the brave in a moving ceremony in Taunton town centre earlier this morning (Saturday, November 11).

The town stood still during a two-minute silence in front of the Market House at precisely 11am to honour our war dead.

Brief messages of gratitude to those who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our freedoms and a prayer were delivered, while the Last Post was played before the solemn act was wrapped up with a recording of the National Anthem.
