Shoe Zone to relocate to new premises in Taunton town centre

‘Closing down’ signs appeared on the windows of Shoe Zone, on High Street, back in May, but it was not clear whether the shop was closing or relocating.

A new sign on the shop’s window is now announcing its relocation to North Street, next to River Island, where Blue Inc is closing down as can be read on a sign in their window.

A Shoe Zone spokesperson, however, said that "Shoezone is unable to confirm the address [of the relocation] at this stage".

The spokesperson also said: "Shoe Zone is pleased to confirm that the store is in the process of relocating. However, at this moment, a specific date for the relocation cannot be provided, as plans are still being finalised.

"The new premises will showcase Shoe Zone's most recent store design concept, which presents a combination of Shoe Zone's exclusive in-house brand and a wide array of popular name-brand styles."

The Shoe Zone store in Taunton is part of the chain of stores that sell a wide range of styles for men, women, and children, plus bags.

In 2020, the company announced the closure of 20 stores post-Covid.

The Somerset County Gazette has also contacted Blue Inc to double-check details and get comments on its closure.
