THERE were plenty of hairy upper lips at a Movember event at Churchill Retirement Living’s Riverain Lodge in Taunton.
Owners of the premises overlooking Goodland Gardens donned false moustaches to celebrate the annual fundraiser for the men’s health charity.
Everyone enjoyed getting together in the Riverain Lodge owner’s lounge to show off some impressive taches, snap fun photos and support the Movember initiative, which aims to raise awareness and funds to make a difference in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Lodge manager Helena Wellington said: “It was great to see the apartment owners getting together to have a good laugh and raise money for an excellent cause.
"We’re delighted that the Churchill Foundation was able to match our £88.60 fundraising and double the total amount to £177.20, which all goes to the Movember charity.
"Fun and sociable events like this are what the Churchill lifestyle is all about.”
