Shepton Mallet 41 Club celebrated their 41st anniversary with a dinner dance at Wells Golf Club on November 18.
President Andrew Davies lead the celebrations by welcoming guests to the event before Nicky Davey, chair of Shepton Mallet Ladies Tangent, congratulated members on their 41st anniversary.
In addition to festivities, funds were raised for Pancreatic Cancer UK, Mr Davies' chosen charity, through an auction and raffle.
The auction headliner, a large teddy bear, sold for £85 while the raffle and other contributions took the fundraising total to over £450.
The anniversary celebration extended late into the night with music by The Woods and a meal courtesy of Wells Golf Club.
The 41 Club forms part of The Round Table organisation, which was incepted in Norwich in 1927 to promote civic responsibilities among young men.
As membership to Round Table is only until 40, the 41 Club came into existence, continuing the philosophy of collective social contribution.
Born in 1982 with a dinner at 'Centenary Steak Bar', Shepton Mallet 41 Club has since held regular monthly meetings at different locations.
The club, in collaboration with the Ladies Tangent, has raised large sums for various charities over the years.
