IT was 'gin-gle' all the way as customers got into the festive spirit at a Taunton town centre restaurant.

ASK Italian offered diners the chance to gather their merrymakers for a festive evening of gin tasting and Christmas specials.

As part of its purpose to connect people and communities, ASK Italian in Taunton championed a local gin producer on its menu on Wednesday (November 22).

Guests were able to enjoy special ‘Community Spirit’ cocktails made with local Dyrad Gin from The Dyrad Gin Tree Spirits Company.

Dryad Gin's signature London Dry Gin captures the sublime beauty of the Quantocks, from the wild, heather-soaked heathlands to the patchwork-like pastures where the gorse flowers bloom, making it the perfect gift for an authentic taste of Somerset.

Inspired by the ethereal spirits who guard the ancient woodlands, Dryad Gin is finished with subtle hints of cardamom, cinnamon, orange peel and almond for a rich, earthy edge.

And for the one night only, they gave ASK customers the chance to meet the maker Becky Wright, taste the drinks and get together for a memorable meal.

People were able to listen to and take part in an interactive talk from Becky with the story behind her Quantocks gin distillery, as well as tasting Dryad Gin.

Anyone unable to make the date can still try ASK's new festive ‘Community Spirit’ Cocktail, the Cranberry Gin-gle, for free by signing up to ASK Perks.
