THE countdown is on for St Margaret's Hospice Care annual New Year's Day Dip.
In less than six weeks, supporters will join the bracing sea plunge at Minehead Beach.
The event, which is proudly sponsored by Wilkie May & Tuckwood, is set to be a festive spectacle with participants encouraged to don fancy dress.
Entry costs £10 for adults and £7 for children, which includes a hospice bobble hat and a hot drink.
To ensure the hospice can cater to every patient's needs, additional fundraising is encouraged.
The hospice aims to raise £10,000 from the event, which can pay for 100 Specialist Community Nurse visits.
A St Margaret's Hospice Care spokesperson said: "Raising funds for St Margaret's Hospice Care will ensure your neighbour, your friend, and your family can be cared for when they need it most."
Patrons who prefer making donations rather than sponsorship can do so while booking their place.
The event will also accept clothing donations at an easy drop-off point on the seafront.
