A new version of the iconic A Christmas Carol has now opened at Taunton Brewhouse.

In collaboration with theatre company Pleasure Dome, it has unveiled an exciting adaptation of Dickens' classic festive story complete with electrifying music, enchanting puppetry, and splashes of South West charm.

Originally adapted by Pleasure Dome, known for its captivating 'reimaginings', the play boasts its cast of multi-skilled actor-musicians as well as a local youth ensemble.

West End director, Scott Le Crass, took the helm, bringing an enchanting family experience featuring enduring storytelling and plenty of festive cheer.

Dickens’ evergreen narrative is presented from a new perspective: a young girl, growing up in Taunton.

The journey of Ebenezer Scrooge, as he is visited by the ghost of his deceased business partner Jacob Marley, and three spirits complete with key messages, explores whether Scrooge will redeem himself or be eternally condemned.
