SOMERSET Council has shared a message for its Lifeline customers.
The authority received reports from customers saying that their Lifeline units will not work once the digital switchover happens.
A Somerset Council spokesperson said: “We've had reports over the last few days that some of our Somerset Lifeline customers have been contacted by salespeople telling them that their Lifeline units won't work once the Digital Switchover happens and that they need to sign up for an alternative service.
"This is untrue. Somerset Lifeline can reassure all our customers that we are updating all analogue Lifeline units to be digitally compliant, and they will not see any interruption to the service we provide.
“More information is available on our website.
“Please share this message with friends and family who are not online.”
