TAUNTON Fire Station has shared a message to congratulate a firefighter who retired on New Year’s Day (Tuesday, January 2).
Shaun Mockridge of 61 White Watch was presented with his certificate and some gifts from the Chief Fire Officer, Gavin Ellis.
A spokesperson said: “Last night (Tuesday, January 2) firefighter Shaun Mockridge of 61 White Watch finished his last night shift with the watch.
“It was a busy night for White Watch as they were called out for most of the shift.
“The following morning Shaun was presented with his certificate of service from the Chief Fire Officer and was presented with some gifts from his watch.
“Congratulations Shaun on your retirement, however, Shaun will continue as a firefighter with the On Call Section.”
