SOMERSET is set for temperatures to plunge to freezing tonight (Tuesday, January 9) and into tomorrow morning - but it's going to feel even colder.
It's already fairly nippy outside, with the mercury dropping to 3degs C, but the wind chill factor makes it seem like -2degs C.
By 8pm we can expect the temperature to have fallen to 0degs C, although it will feel like -5degsC.
That's how it will remain until around 9am tomorrow (Wednesday), with temperatures peaking at 4degs C in the early afternoon.
It's going to remain quite cold for a few days, according to the Met Office.
Somerset Council is deploying its gritting lorries to make the icy roads safer.
