TWO stolen baby pygmy goats have been found in Somerset.

The goats were taken from the yard of a rural property in West Dorset on Thursday, January 11.

After enquires, officers from Dorset Police and Avon and Somerset Police attended an address in Yeovil on January 13. There, they recovered both baby pygmy goats - called Margoat and Robbie.

Alice, the owner of the goats, said: “I am so grateful to have Margoat and Robbie back. They are our family pets and mean everything. Thankyou to everyone who made it possible. I can’t thank you enough.”

PC Sebastian Haggett, from Dorset Rural Crime Team, added: “I am over the moon we have managed to recover these goats however we still need the publics help.

"Did you see anything suspicious at 10pm on Thursday, January 11 in the Marshwood area? Please help share this appeal and let’s bring these people to justice. Pet theft is completely unacceptable.”
