A PERSON was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital following a "road traffic incident" near Taunton Station earlier this morning (Wednesday, January 17).

Police and the ambulance service attended the incident involving two cars in Clifton Terrace near to the junction with Station Road shortly after 7.30am.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 7.35am on Wednesday 17 January to a road traffic incident near Taunton Railway Station.

"We sent one double-crewed ambulance and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital.”

 

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said the force was called just after 7.45am on Wednesday 17 January following a collision involving a pedestrian and a black VW Tiguan at Clifton Terrace, Taunton.

They added: "The pedestrian went to hospital by ambulance with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

"Officers spoke to the driver at the scene which was cleared by 8.45am.
