THE A361 has been closed in both directions near Shepton Mallet “due to an earlier lorry fire".
Travel Somerset said there is queueing traffic between The Hotel (Shepton Mallet) and Church Lane/Farm Road (Doulting).
It previously said the road was closed "due to obstruction on the road”.

The council’s traffic authority is warning motorists of the closure: “The A361 is closed both ways with queueing traffic due to a traffic problem between The Hotel (Shepton Mallet) and Church Lane/Farm Road (Doulting).
They also added: “Congestion to Charlton Crossroads and traffic heading away on the A37 towards Oakhill.”
