A POPULAR Somerset pub located in an area described as a 'gateway' to the countryside is now up for rent and looking for new operators.
The Thatched Cottage in Shepton Mallet is best known for its quaint appearance brought about by its thatched roof and patio beer garden area.
As well as trading as a food site, locals wanting to host events frequently utilise the on-site function room
In addition to this, the pub features eight 'impressive' en-suite letting rooms, and a car park for over 20 vehicles.
Greene King Pubs, which owns The Thatched Cottage, said: "The successful new operator will continue to deliver a great food offer whilst growing the function and letting rooms side of the business.
"There are also further opportunities to increase summer trade by improving the external trade areas."
The pub is now on the market with an annual rent of £55,500, and a forecasted annual profit of £55,436.
