AN air ambulance and a number police and land ambulance vehicles were sent to an incident in Taunton town centre at lunchtime today (Wednesday, January 24) during an emergency services response.
The air ambulance landed at the Cooper Associates County Ground, home to Somerset County Cricket Club at midday.
And three police vehicles and two from South Western Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) were spotted parked up on the Coal Orchard development, off St James Street.
A section of the development was taped off by police.
A spokesperson for SWASFT said: "We were called at 12noon on Wednesday 24 January to an incident in Taunton.
"We sent one double-crewed ambulance, an operations officer, a rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance.”
They did not give specific details of the incident.
It is believed Avon and Somerset Police attended in a supporting role.
